چکیده

This paper considers receding horizon control of finite deterministic systems, which must satisfy a high level, rich specification expressed as a linear temporal logic formula. Under the assumption that timevarying rewards are associated with states of the system and these rewards can be observed in real-time, the control objective is tomaximize the collected rewardwhile satisfying the high level task specification. In order to properly react to the changing rewards, a controller synthesis framework inspired by model predictive control is proposed, where the rewards are locally optimized at each time-step over a finite horizon, and the optimal control computed for the current time-step is applied. By enforcing appropriate constraints, the infinite trajectory produced by the controller is guaranteed to satisfy the desired temporal logic formula. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach. © 2013 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

: A Software Toolbox for Receding Horizon Temporal Logic Planning

This paper describes TuLiP, a Python-based software toolbox for the synthesis of embedded control software that is provably correct with respect to an expressive subset of linear temporal logic (LTL) specifications. TuLiP combines routines for (1) finite state abstraction of control systems, (2) digital design synthesis from LTL specifications, and (3) receding horizon planning. The underlying ...

On control of discrete-time state-dependent jump linear systems with probabilistic constraints: A receding horizon approach

In this article, we consider a receding horizon control of discrete-time state-dependent jump linear systems, particular kind of stochastic switching systems, subject to possibly unbounded random disturbances and probabilistic state constraints. Due to a nature of the dynamical system and the constraints, we consider a one-step receding horizon. Using inverse cumulative distribution function, w...

Analysis of Applying Event-triggered Strategy on the Model Predictive Control

In this paper, the event-triggered strategy in the case of finite-horizon model predictive control (MPC) is studied and its advantages over the input to state stability (ISS) Lyapunov based triggering rule is discussed. In the MPC triggering rule, all the state trajectories in the receding horizon are considered to obtain the triggering rule. Clearly, the finite horizon MPC is sub-optimal with ...

On the stability of unconstrained receding horizon control with a general terminal cost

This paper deals with unconstrained receding horizon control of nonlinear systems with a general, nonnegative terminal cost. Earlier results have indicated that when the terminal cost is a suitable local control Lyapunov function, the receding horizon scheme is stabilizing for any horizon length. In a recent paper, the authors show that there always exist a uniform horizon length which guarante...
